Tinned Apricot Jam

 

 

 

(made from tinned pulp of fruit)

1 lb Prepared Fruit

1 ½ lbs Sugar

½ Bottle Certo

Juice of ½ Lemon

 

 

 

 

 

1.         Drain syrup from fruit and crush well.

 

 

2.         Measure sugar, prepared fruit and lemon juice into large preserving

pan.

 

 

3.         Mix well, and heat slowly until the sugar has dissolved.

 

 

4.         Bring to a full rolling boil and boil over the hottest heat.  Stirring

constantly.

 

 

5.         Boil for 2 minutes, hard, remove from heat and stir in Certo.

 

 

6.         Skim and pour quickly and cover in the usual way.
