Ripe Grape Jam

 

 

 

4 lbs Fully Ripe Grapes

1 Pint Water

3 tbsp Lemon Juice

4 ½ lbs Sugar

1 Bottle Certo

 

 

 

1.         Wash grapes, halve and remove pips, place in a large saucepan with

the water and simmer until tender.

 

 

2.         Add the lemon juice and sugar and heat slowly, stirring occasionally,

until the sugar has dissolved.

 

 

3.         Bring to a full rolling boil and boil rapidly for 5 minutes.

 

 

4.         Remove from the heat and stir in the Certo.

 

 

5.         Allow to cool to prevent the fruit from floating.

 

 

6.         Skim, pot and cover in the usual way.
