Mulberry Jam

 

 

 

4 ½ lbs Mulberries

6 lbs Sugar

1 Bottle Certo

 

 

 

1.         Crush the mulberries thoroughly, if the fruit is over ripe add the juice of

1 lemon.  Add the sugar and heat slowly until dissolved, stirring

continually.

 

 

2.         Bring to a full boil.  Boil rapidly for 3 minutes stirring occasionally. 

Remove from the heat, stir in the Certo, skim if necessary.

 

 

3.         Allow to cool slightly to prevent the fruit from floating.

 

 

4.         Pot and cover in the usual way.
