Mixed Fruit Jam

 

 

 

1 lb. Dried Peaches

1 Pint Water

1 lb. Pears

3 lb. Apples

¼ pint Water

7 ½ lb. Sugar

1 Bottle Certo

 

 

 

1.         Soak the dried peaches in 1 pint of water for at least 4 hours.

 

 

2.         Peel and core apples and pears and cut into slices.  Put in a pan with

the peaches and ¼ pint water.

 

 

3.         Cover and simmer gently until tender (approx. 15 minutes).

 

 

4.         Add sugar, stir until dissolved.

 

 

5.         Bring to a full rolling boil and boil hard for 2 minutes.

 

 

6.         Remove from the heat and stir in the Certo.

 

 

7.         Skim if necessary.  Pot and cover in the usual way.
