Banana and Cranberry Jam

 

 

 

1 lb Cranberries

½ pint Water

6 Bananas

3 lbs Sugar

½ bottle Certo

 

 

 

 

 

1.         Use only fully ripe fruit, add ½ pint water to the cranberries.  Bring to

the boil, cover and simmer for 10 minutes.

 

 

2.         Mash thoroughly about 6 bananas.

 

 

3.         Measure sugar and 2 ½ lbs prepared fruit into a large saucepan, mix

well, heat slowly, stirring occasionally until the sugar has dissolved.

 

 

4.         Bring to a full rolling boil and boil rapidly for 1 minute.

 

 

5.         Remove from the heat and stir in the Certo.

 

 

6.         Skim, pot and cover in the usual way.
