Apple Marmalade

 

 

 

2 ½ lbs Prepared Apples

3 ¼ lbs Sugar

½ Bottle Certo

 

 

 

1.         Peel and core about 3 lbs full ripe apples and cut into small pieces.

 

 

2.         Add 2 lbs water and simmer for 10 minutes.

 

 

3.         Crush with masher and simmer covered for 5 minutes longer.

 

 

4.         Add cinnamon and lemon as required, and sugar.

 

 

5.         Mix and bring to a full rolling boil, over hottest heat, and boil for ½

minute.

 

 

6.         Remove from the heat and stir in the Certo.

 

 

7.         Pot and cover in the usual way.
