Apple Jam

 

 

 

3 lbs Prepared Apples

4 tbsp Water

3 ½ lbs Sugar

½ Bottle Certo

 

 

 

 

 

 

1.         Peel and core apples, cut into small pieces and put into a saucepan

with the water.

 

 

2.         Bring to the boil and simmer for 15 minutes, stirring constantly.

 

 

3.         Measure 2 lbs of prepared fruit and juice into a large saucepan, add

the sugar and mix well.

 

 

4.         Heat slowly, stirring occasionally, until the sugar has dissolved.

 

 

5.         Bring to a full rolling boil and boil rapidly for 1 minute.

 

 

6.         Remove from the heat and stir in the Certo.  Skim, pot and cover in the

usual way.
